Dr. Audra Rickman, DVM

Dr. Audra Rickman graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Animal Science and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She has lived in Southport since 1996 with her husband Tommy. They have two children: Grace, an avid softball player, and Bailey, a classical music fanatic. They have two dogs: Fiona, a rescued pitbull, and MacGregor, a Caviler King Charles Spaniel. Dr. Audra loves Broadway musicals, traveling, and cooking.

Dr. Edmonds grew up on a farm in west Tennessee. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Tennessee Veterinary school, she and her husband moved to Forest Lake, MN. While in MN, Dr. Edmonds enjoyed a variety of veterinary opportunities including general practice in large and small animals, shelter medicine, and teaching in a veterinary technology program. Now that she is in Southport, she enjoys the warmer climate and spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.

Sarah Lowry  

Sarah was born in Wilmington but lived in Brunswick County all her life. She has two children and a husband she has been married to for over 12 years. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats that have all come from rescue groups. Beau is one of her dogs that get to come to work with her every day. She enjoys spending time with her children and husband doing fun activities. She has been at Four Paws since they opened in 2006.

Amanda Barnhill, Office Manager

Amanda was born and raised in Brunswick County. Married since 2008 with 3 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat. Amanda has been with Four Paws since January of 2017. She is certified through Oncura to do echocardiograms and Ultrasounds.  When she's not working, Amanda likes to spend time with her kids and husband.

Kate Jones

Kate moved to Brunswick County in 2006 at age 5 from Durant, Oklahoma. Kate graduated from her Veterinary Assistant program in 2018. She lives on a farm with 4 horses, 38 chickens, 4 cats and her Blue Healer Sadie. She has been with Four Paws Animal Hospital since August of 2020, When Kate is not at Four Paws, she is sitting on her back porch spending time with her family.

Shelby was born in Halifax County, NC and moved to Brunswick County in 2007. She has been with us since March of 2021. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs, Blue, a Great Dane, Bobo, a rescue hound mix, and Honey, a yellow lab.
